Railway Maintenance / Culvert Cleaning
 |
CN Rail called Kamloops Jet Vac to clear this remote culvert.
The culvert, 4 ft wide x 5 ft deep x 30 ft long,
was filled to within inches of the top with the rocks & gravel
seen piled up around the entrance.
The waterlevel shows how impaired the drainage was before
we cleared the blockage. |
|
|
Rocks as big as your head can be removed
by our high pressure & flow rodder combined with
our high performance nozzles.
The two held by Jamie of Kamloops Jet Vac were flushed
out of the depths of this culvert. |
 |
 |
Our truck has just put on the rails
at a crossing in Salmon Arm.
Kamloops Auguring Ltd. asked Kamloops Jet Vac to
flush out a recently installed culvert.
Kamloops Auguring Ltd., a trenchless technology company,
hammered the 30 inch culvert under the railroad without trenches,
or disruption of service to the railway.
|
|
On site and at work, our long hose
allows our truck to be some distance from the work.
While Kamloops Jet Vac flushes out the culvert,
a CP Rail crane truck (not shown) is loading up some equipment
while parked directly over the new culvert.
This kind of flexibility increased productivity of both crews.
